Geoff Allen Out for 4 Months Monday, July 15th, 2013 South Carolina Bombers closer Geoff Allen suffered a ruptured finger tendon during a recent game with the Washington Capitalists and will miss 4 months. Allen told BNN, "I hurt it throwing a pitch. I'm optimistic that I will be back quicker than they say." Currently Allen has 2 saves. In 46 relief appearances he has hurled 45.1 innings, struck out 60 and issued 23 walks with a 2-1 record. The South Carolina reliever has recorded a 4.96 ERA and allowed the opposition to hit .261 when he is on the mound. |
