Setback Forces Jersey's Curry To Retire Thursday, July 4th, 2013 The news couldn't be any worse -- Jersey doctors told Johnathan Curry his baseball career is probably over. The 26-year-old closer received the harrowing news yesterday. Jesters team officials were notified that Curry had suffered irreparable damage and would not recover from shoulder inflammation, at least not enough to be able to resume his baseball career. This year Curry has collected 5 saves. In all he has made 8 relief appearances, thrown 7.1 innings, struck out 8 and walked 3. His record shows no wins and 1 loss with a 1.23 earned run average. |
