Irate Anaya Suspended 6 Games Thursday, June 6th, 2013 Republic third baseman Wilson Anaya will begin a 6-game suspension today for a confrontation with an umpire in a recent So Cal-San Francisco clash. The league suspended him for "inappropriate and aggressive actions" toward an umpire. Anaya profusely argued a third strike call and was eventually ejected by the home plate umpire. For the season Anaya has hit .153 with no home runs and 1 RBIs. He has played in 28 games and scored 5 times. |
