Tornadoes Patterson Down with Injury
Saturday, April 20th, 2013
The Kansas City Tornadoes were dealt a severe blow when Roosevelt Patterson was hurt throwing a pitch recently in a game against the Georgia Ghost Busters. After the game, the team trainer reported Patterson might have to spend a lengthy time on the disabled list. Today doctors confirmed it, ruling the 37-year-old closer out for the rest of the season with a stretched elbow ligament. They indicated it would take Patterson at least 8-9 months to heal.

This year Patterson has 5 saves with a 0-0 won-lost mark and 4.50 ERA.
