Fans in San Diego ushered in Shannon Chase today as their new first baseman. The 30-year-old came to terms with the Hops and will be hauling in $11,080,000 a year over 5 years.
In his all-time stats Chase is hitting .263 with 601 hits, 91 home runs, 311 runs scored and 346 RBIs.

Redford Signs for 1 year

Oklahoma City fans celebrated as word of a signing became reality. Rob Redford won't be pulling up stakes anytime soon, as he has signed a 1-year extension at a pay rate of $9,000,000 per annum.
Since he is widely seen as an integral part of the club, Oklahoma City officials had to keep Redford from jumping ship.
A check of his lifetime stats shows Redford has a career .322 average with 234 hits, 28 doubles, 4 triples, 44 home runs and 150 RBIs. To date he has scored 132 runs, walked 52 times and stolen 18 bases.
