July's #1 Hurler Announced: Eida Wednesday, August 1st, 2012 In July, Sakutaro Eida tore through the Pacific League like a seasoned veteran -- quite impressive for a player only 20 years old. The young ORIX starter posted a 3-0 mark and an ERA of 1.48 to earn the Pitcher of the Month award. In 30.1 innings he collected 44 strikeouts while limiting the opposition to a .135 average. In 17 starts this year Eida has fashioned a 10-4 record and a 2.55 ERA. |
