Tigers Demirel Booms 3 HRs Wednesday, June 21st, 2017 Barbaros Demirel, third baseman for the Hanshin Tigers, had a whale of a game, rocketing three balls out of Ballpark of Otofuke College against the Chiba Lotte Marines today in their 16-15 victory. After the game he said, "I got some good pitches to hit and I creamed them. The first was a big, fat fastball and the last two were hanging curves... all three were mistakes." For the game Demirel was 3-4 with 6 RBIs and 4 runs scored. Demirel added, "There's a fine line between hitting home runs and line drives. Today I found the home run stroke." Barbaros Demirel hit a two-run home run off Kuukburi Mir in the 2nd, walked in the 4th, walked in the 5th, grounded out in the 6th, hit a three-run home run off Pedro García in the 8th and hit a solo-shot off Cheng-en Huang in the 10th. This season Demirel is batting .212 with 3 home runs. His totals include 8 RBIs and 6 runs scored. |
