Barrage of Hits Gets Tanaka CL Award Monday, May 1st, 2017 The Central League has made it official -- Hiroshige Tanaka is this week's winner of the Player of the Week Award. The Yokohama first baseman was sensational with a .368 batting average, 4 home runs and 12 RBIs. Tanaka also had 1 walk and posted a .348 on-base percentage. So far this year Tanaka is batting .311 with 6 home runs, 16 RBIs and 9 runs scored. |
