League Suspends Hanshin's Mori Tuesday, September 20th, 2016 Following an intense confrontation with the home plate umpire in which he was ejected, Tigers catcher Hiroharu Mori was suspended 6 games by the league. Mori had to be physically restrained by his manager and appeared to make a few threats toward the umpire. He was upset by a called third strike in a game with Hiroshima Toyo at Frogs Ballpark. Mori could not be reached for comment on the suspension. For the year Mori has hit .211 with 7 home runs, 37 RBIs and scored 35 runs. |
