Saito Is CL's Best Pitcher in April Sunday, May 1st, 2016 Hiroshima Toyo's Subaru Saito hated to see April end. It was one of the single greatest months the reliever has posted, and the 19-year-old reliever did so well that he garnered enough votes for the Central League Pitcher of the Month trophy. Saito held the opposition to a .204 batting average in 12 relief appearances. He worked 15 innings, collected 5 saves, sat down 23 on strikes and posted a 3-1 record and a 2.40 ERA. |
