Kawano Takes This Week's Trophy Monday, September 21st, 2015 Josuke Kawano must have thought he was dreaming. First he went on an exceptional week-long batting spree, bashing the ball at a .625 clip, then the Saitama Seibu shortstop finds outs he has been chosen the league's best performer and gets the PL Player of the Week Award. He told BNN reporters in the postgame, "It was a great week for me. I could see the ball so well. Plus some of the balls seemed to have good eyes, too." For the week Kawano batted .625 (5-8) with 1 home run and 6 RBIs. For the year Kawano has hit at a .233 clip with 54 RBIs, 9 home runs and 44 runs scored. |
