PL Star of the Week Honored Monday, May 18th, 2015 Kazuhiko Kimura must have thought he was in seventh heaven this week. First he went on a sensational hitting spree, belting the ball at a .579 pace, then the Chiba Lotte first baseman finds outs he has been selected the top performer and gets the Pacific League Player of the Week Award. Asked what his hitting philosophy was, Kimura quipped to the BNN reporters, "Well, my theory of hitting is to just watch the ball as it comes in and hit it." It was a good week's work for Kimura. He hit .579 average (11-19) with no home runs and 3 RBIs. To date Kimura has chalked up a .375 average with 4 home runs, driven in 13 runs and scored 17 times. |
