Kurihara Best CL Starter in September Wednesday, October 1st, 2014 Over the past month Iemochi Kurihara has turned quite a few heads. He's young, talented and able to pitch with the established arms in the Central League. He proved all that and now he's been named September's Pitcher of the Month. The rookie for the Yomiuri Giants posted 3-0 mark and a 0.91 ERA. In 4 starts he tossed 29.2 innings, permitted 11 hits and fanned 35 batters. This year Kurihara has compiled a 10-5 mark with a 3.36 ERA. |
