CL's Star Player Named Monday, September 8th, 2014 The Central League has selected its Player of the Week. The honor went to Osamu Ito, left fielder of the Hiroshima Toyo Carp. In a standout performance, he lit up the league with a .389 average to win the award. Ito went 7-18 for the week, totaled 2 home runs with 4 RBIs and scored 2 times. Thus far this year Ito has hit .322 with 29 home runs and 74 RBIs. |
