Pitcher of the Month Named in CL Monday, September 1st, 2014 Oda Kondo has made fans throughout Nippon Baseball League take notice over the past month with an exceptional 4-0 record. No pitcher in the Central League threw better in August, garnering him the Pitcher of the Month award today. In 4 starts Kondo compiled a 1.75 ERA, putting up a 4-0 record, striking out 34 and tossing 25.2 innings. This year Kondo has posted a record of 7 wins and 7 losses with a 4.14 ERA. He has appeared in 20 games and struck out 137 in 117.1 innings. |
