Week's Best Player Honored by CL Monday, August 11th, 2014 The Central League has selected its Player of the Week. The honor went to Nariaki Hirano, right fielder of the Hiroshima Toyo Carp. In a standout performance, he lit up the league with a .571 average to win the award. Hirano went 4-7 for the week, totaled 2 home runs with 2 RBIs and scored 3 times. So far this season Hirano has 19 home runs and a .360 batting average. |
