It was presented earlier today to Nariaki Hirano for his red-hot week of hitting. The Hiroshima Toyo right fielder took home the trophy by splurging with 9 hits in 23 at-bats for a .391 batting average, driving in 13 runs and scoring 8 times. This year Hirano has batted at a .379 pace with 36 hits, 12 home runs, 35 RBIs and scored 22 times. |
