August's Best PL Hitter is Toshiro Shimada Sunday, September 1st, 2013 Toshiro Shimada really smoked the ball in August on his way to Batter of the Month honors in the Pacific League. The Saitama Seibu right fielder hit .483 with 7 home runs, 21 RBIs and 17 runs scored to round out his great month. Shimada is hitting .383 for the season with 35 home runs, 108 RBIs and 95 runs scored. He has 121 hits in 316 at-bats and played in 82 games. |
