Hit Streak Now at 25 for Yamashita Sunday, July 7th, 2013 Every day everyone is checking up on Masakado Yamashita to see if he got a hit to keep his hitting streak alive. Today's answer is "yes." He did it with a 1-3 day against the Tigers. The Yokohama Bay Stars shortstop stretched the streak to 25 games in his team's 6-3 triumph over the Hanshin Tigers at Ballpark of Otofuke College. Masakado Yamashita grounded out in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 4th and grounded out in the 6th. This year Yamashita is hitting .344 with 6 home runs and 22 RBIs in 27 games played. He also boasts an OBP of .393 with 10 walks and 19 runs scored. |
