Harris Smacks 5 Hits for Commodores Friday, March 24th, 2017 Garth Harris really sizzled at the plate in today's 13-6 win over Cowboys. The Vanderbilt center fielder blistered Oklahoma State for 5 hits in 5 at-bats. "Harris was too tough to get out today," the Cowboys skipper said in the postgame interview. "No matter what we threw him, he hit it. And he hit some good pitches, too." Garth Harris singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, walked in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 7th, hit a two-run double in the 8th and hit an RBI double in the 9th. Harris is hitting at a .230 mark this season. His stats show no home runs, 6 RBIs and 10 runs scored. He has played 17 games for the Commodores. |
