O'Connor Sensational, 5-5 Wednesday, March 15th, 2017 Today at Suns Ballpark Carson O'Connor put on a hitting clinic as the Mississippi State second baseman sprayed hits all over the ballpark by lashing Houston pitching for 5 hits in 5 at-bats. But the Cougars didn't really seem to care, they won the game 7-6. He told BNN reporters after the game that he just hit it where they pitched it. "Too often I try to pull the ball too much. Today I just went with the pitch. It's great to get 5 hits, but it would have been nicer to win the ballgame. too." Carson O'Connor hit an RBI double in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 10th. So far on the season O'Connor is hitting .450 with 1 home run, 4 RBIs and 7 runs scored. He has 18 hits and played in 10 games. |
