5-5 Game for Colson Tuesday, March 7th, 2017 Today at Hartford College Grounds Tyler Colson put on an impressive display of hitting -- the Cal State Fullerton first baseman tagged Rice pitching for 5 hits in 5 at-bats, but his teammates were unable to capitalize on his batting spree and lost the game to the Owls by the score of 11-6. "Hey, the loss takes some of the joy out of it, but I'll take it. 5-5 ain't bad in any league." Despite the terrific performance, Colson remained somewhat somber. "Sure, I'm happy with my performance today," he was quoted as saying in the locker room, "But all that really matters in this game is that number in the win column. We just didn't get it done today." Tyler Colson singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, hit a solo-shot off Jesús Olvera in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 9th. |
