Anthony Rice Bashes Three over the Wall Monday, April 20th, 2015 Clemson won't soon forget the display of raw power put on today by Anthony Rice of the Arkansas Razorbacks. He victimized the Tigers by pounding three pitches out of Magistrates Ballpark. The homers sparked his club to a 14-2 win and got him a spot in the league record book. "I got three pitches down the pipe and popped them," Rice told reporters. "Today I was in a groove... tomorrow I could just pop up the same pitches and go oh-for-three." In addition to the homers, he collected 4 RBIs and scored 3 runs. Anthony Rice hit a solo-shot off Ray Moore in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Ray Moore in the 3rd, flied out in the 4th, struck out in the 6th, hit a two-run home run off Scot Carter in the 8th and flied out in the 9th. Rice is hitting .333 for the season with 6 home runs, 16 RBIs and 15 runs scored. He has 26 hits in 78 at-bats and played in 19 games. |
