Owls Roberto Flores Sidelined Sunday, April 19th, 2015 Roberto Flores of the Rice Owls was injured in today's game against Arizona State and had to be helped off the field by the trainers. The initial diagnosis is a torn labrum and he is expected to be out for up to 4-5 months. It happened while Flores was throwing a pitch. "It hurt a lot, to be honest. I just hope it heals soon and I can get back on the field." To date, Flores has collected no saves in 10 relief appearances. He has rung up 16 strikeouts and 3 walks in 11.2 innings while registering a 0.00 ERA and a 1-0 won-lost record. |
