Ellis 5-5 for TCU Thursday, April 16th, 2015 It was a big day for Zak Ellis of the TCU Horned Frogs. He led his club to a 8-6 victory over the Houston Cougars today at Suns Ballpark. The 21-year-old shortstop smoked Cougars pitching for 5 hits in 5 at-bats. Zak Ellis doubled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, tripled in the 6th and hit a two-run single in the 7th. This year Ellis is batting .362 with 2 home runs and 6 RBIs. In 14 games he has scored 9 times. |
