McNeil Torches Wolverines for 5 Hits Thursday, April 10th, 2014 Auburn right fielder Wes McNeil could do no wrong in today's 15-4 win over the Wolverines as he collected 5 hits. "In every one of his at-bats things were in his favor... he got hitter's counts," the skipper of the Wolverines said to the press corps after the game. McNeil agreed. "The key is getting ahead. Once you get ahead, it makes it a lot easier because you get a better pitch to hit. You know the pitcher has to come in with it. And you're ready." Wes McNeil singled in the 1st, hit an RBI double in the 3rd, walked in the 4th, doubled in the 5th, hit a two-run double in the 6th and singled in the 8th. McNeil is presently hitting at a .475 pace with 2 home runs and 10 RBIs. He has played in 10 games and scored 8 times. |
