Hurricanes Sykes Down with Injury Friday, May 17th, 2013 Bill Sykes of the Miami Hurricanes could be headed for the disabled list after suffering shoulder inflammation in a game against the Tennessee Volunteers. He is expected to miss at least 4-5 months. The Miami reliever was injured throwing a pitch. This season Sykes has claimed 2 saves and registered a 2-2 record with a 5.28 ERA. He has 25 relief appearances spanning 29 innings and has struck out 34. |
