Top Batter Named by August Herrman League Saturday, November 4th, 2017 2017 was a special season for Houston first baseman Richard Lawson and it was capped off today with the announcement that he was named the winner of the August Herrman League Silver Slugger Award. Lawson compiled a .318 batting average and a .405 on-base percentage this year. In 139 games he piled up 164 hits, 25 doubles, 3 triples, 28 home runs, 119 RBIs and 102 runs scored. |
