BOL Selects White July's Best Starter
Tuesday, August 1st, 2017
There's something about a young rookie winning the Buck O'Neil League Pitcher of the Month trophy that sends shock waves through the league. Such is the case with Joseph White, a 22-year-old starter for the San Angelo Mustangs.
In July, he topped off the month with a 5-0 mark and 1.56 ERA in 6 starts, tossed 40.1 innings, fanned 44 and held opposing teams to a .181 average.
To date this season, White has a record of 6 wins and 1 loss and a 1.97 ERA. He has appeared in 9 games and struck out 64 in 59.1 innings.
