Chippewa's Guffin BOL's Best Monday, July 24th, 2017 The Buck O'Neil League has selected its Player of the Week. The honor went to Wayne Guffin, catcher of the Chippewa River Chiefs. In a standout performance, he lit up the league with a .526 average to win the award. Guffin went 10-19 for the week, totaled 1 home run with 5 RBIs and scored 5 times. Thus far this year Guffin has hit .300 with 8 home runs and 50 RBIs. |
