Great Day for Wyatt, Hits for Cycle
Thursday, June 29th, 2017
"It's too bad I can't do that every day," George Wyatt said with a smile to reporters after today's game. "It would do wonders for my batting average." Wyatt had every right to be in a good mood after hitting for the cycle today against Coney Island at Old Bay Park. The Blue Claws won the ballgame 11-10, he hit for the cycle, had a 4-for-6 game and boosted his batting average up a few points. The 25-year-old Baltimore first baseman chalked up 4 runs batted in and 1 run scored for the game, too.

Who says you can't have it all?

He told the press that a triple is the tough hit to get in a cycle. "As soon as it left the bat, guys jumped off the bench and were rooting hard for me to have enough gas to get there," Wyatt said. "It was hard to enjoy it. I was breathing too hard ... you got to really be in shape to run out a triple."

George Wyatt singled in the 1st, flied out in the 4th, hit an RBI triple in the 6th, struck out in the 8th, hit a three-run home run off Vicente Otero in the 9th, doubled in the 12th and walked in the 14th.

This year Wyatt has hit at a .222 clip with 70 RBIs, 16 home runs and 39 runs scored.
