Jedi Knights End Blanchard's Streak Wednesday, May 31st, 2017 San Angelo right fielder Alan Blanchard experienced something against the New Orleans Jedi Knights he hadn't experienced in his last 26 games: a hitless game. The Jedi Knights pitching corps quieted his hot bat and snapped his streak, but his teammates picked up the slack to lead the Mustangs to a 2-1 victory at Heartland Kettlecorn Stadium. "Hey, ain't nothin' bad about a losing a 26-game hitting streak. Now you sportswriters will have to find someone else to bother for stories," Blanchard kiddingly told them after the game. Blanchard has a .330 average and a .432 on-base percentage for the year. He has picked up 69 hits, 5 home runs and driven in 42 runs. |
