Morton Punishes AHL Pitchers This Week Monday, May 15th, 2017 Pitchers who faced the Bethesda Hornets last week were happy to see Chris Morton in the rear view mirror. The 24-year-old catcher was dubbed the August Herrman League Player of the Week for a 6-game tear that saw him hit at a .481 clip. For the week He also chalked up 13 hits in 27 at-bats, 2 home runs, 13 RBIs and 7 runs scored. So far this season Morton is hitting .370 with 2 home runs, 16 RBIs and 10 runs scored. He has 17 hits in 46 at-bats and a .474 OBP. |
