Peterson Sizzles -- Smokes Pirates for 5 Hits Wednesday, April 26th, 2017 Today at Penlee Park Ron Peterson put on an impressive display of hitting -- the Bel Air shortstop tagged Penzance pitching for 5 hits in 5 at-bats, but his teammates were unable to capitalize on his batting spree and lost the game to the Pirates by the score of 5-4. "Hey, the loss takes some of the joy out of it, but I'll take it. 5-5 ain't bad in any league." Despite the terrific performance, Peterson remained somewhat somber. "Sure, I'm happy with my performance today," he was quoted as saying in the locker room, "But all that really matters in this game is that number in the win column. We just didn't get it done today." Ron Peterson singled in the 1st, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 10th. Peterson is presently hitting at a .343 pace with 2 home runs and 11 RBIs.
