Flores Goes 5-5 Against Houston
Sunday, September 25th, 2016
"It was almost like batting practice. I saw the ball very well and could just about hit it anywhere I wanted." That's what Penzance shortstop Carlos Flores said to BNN reporters after his fantastic 5-5 day against the Houston Sting at Penlee Park. "I got some good counts and used the whole field."
The Pirates had a good day, too, and won the ballgame 10-2.
Carlos Flores singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, singled in the 5th, hit a two-run double in the 6th and singled in the 8th.
In 152 games this season Flores has compiled a .262 batting average with 159 hits and 3 home runs. He has also scored 73 times and knocked in 56 runs.
