Eagles Yasushi Kato Swings Hot Bat, AHL Winner Monday, September 19th, 2016 21-year-old Yasushi Kato made a few Whitewater headlines during this past week as the rookie center fielder proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and August Herrman League officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort. He cracked 11 hits in 28 at-bats to put up a .393 average. Kato collected 1 home run, 4 RBIs and scored 3 runs. Kato is currently batting .232 with 13 home runs and 59 RBIs. |
