Thomas Rips Nichols for 5 Hits Saturday, July 23rd, 2016 If just anyone could go out and hit a baseball, big dollar contracts wouldn't exist. But they can't, so the good hitters get the big bucks. Brad Thomas showed how it's done as he went 5 for 5 against the Nichols Gnats and helped the Kingwood Knights beat them 20-2. The manager for the Gnats told the BNN sportswriters, "We made some bad pitches and he took advantage of it. That's the game of baseball. Don't make mistakes and you win a lot more ballgames." If Thomas keeps hitting like this, he could be headed for a big pay raise. Brad Thomas walked in the 1st, hit a two-run single in the 2nd, hit a two-run home run off Mike Brewer in the 4th, singled in the 5th, hit a three-run home run off Seishiro Sato in the 6th and singled in the 8th. This year Thomas is batting .287 with 11 home runs and 51 RBIs. |
