This Week's Star Player is Barajas Monday, May 2nd, 2016 So far in his young career, José Barajas has kept a low profile, but after his performance at the plate last week, he attracted the notice of the rest of the Buck O'Neil League in a big way as he was named the Player of the Week today for his efforts. The 22-year-old San Angelo Mustangs shortstop hit at a torrid .500 clip as he collected 13 hits in 26 at-bats, no home runs, 2 RBIs and 8 runs scored. For the season Barajas is hitting .357, batted in 13 runs with 4 home runs and 24 runs scored. |
