No Recovery For River Chiefs Wright, Setback Forces Him Out

Doctors told Harry Wright at the outset that his injury was potentially career-ending. As it happens, they were right. The Chippewa reliever informed his team that he would have to give up baseball and retire. Wright's injury, a torn labrum, was just too severe for him to continue his career as a player. The 23-year-old Wright told reporters he hopes to remain in baseball in some capacity in the River Chiefs organization.
