5-5 Game for Torres Friday, April 17th, 2015 Bartolo Torres put on a hitting clinic today as the Road Warriors dumped the Stingrays 14-2 at Baylor Ballpark. The Westside right fielder sprayed hits all over the ballpark by lashing Sanford pitching for 5 hits in 5 at-bats in the game. He told BNN reporters after the game that he just hit it where they pitched it. "Too often I try to pull the ball too much. Today I just went with the pitch." Bartolo Torres hit a two-run single in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a three-run home run off Oussama Guibert in the 5th, hit a GRAND SLAM off Carlos Sáenz in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 8th and walked in the 9th. Torres is swinging at a .195 pace on the year with 2 home runs, 13 RBIs and 4 runs scored. He has played in 10 games. |
