August Herrman League Top Hurler Announced Thursday, November 6th, 2014 He's in the early phase of his career, but this past season Diogo Negreiros performed like a veteran on the hill for the Huntsville Sabercats and walked away with the August Herrman League Cy Young Award in the process. The 19-year-old Sabercats star fashioned a 22-8 won-loss record in 2014 with a 2.18 ERA. In 239.1 innings of work and 35 starts, Negreiros struck out 201 while giving up 169 hits and 60 walks. He held opposing batters to a .197 average. |
