Butler 5-6 Against Stealers
Saturday, October 4th, 2014
After the Palm Beach 11-0 victory over Cherry Hill and his 5-hit day second baseman Ben Butler told BNN beat writers, "It really doesn't matter whether it's sandlot ball, high school or college ball, two hits in a game are very good... three or four hits even better... 5 or more are out of sight... and if it is in pro ball... it is really something special."

The 23-year-old player gained that distinction today at Envoys Ballpark with a spectacular 5 for 6 game against the Cherry Hill Stealers.

The skipper of the Bums spoke glowingly of Butler, telling BNN writers, "His swing is getting there. We want him to be quick with his swing, short and compact. We want him to be patient and go the other way when he can. Ben did that to perfection today."

Ben Butler grounded out in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, hit an RBI double in the 4th, singled in the 6th, doubled in the 7th and hit an RBI single in the 8th.

For the year Butler is batting .257 with no home runs.
