King Sidelined for 9-10 Months Sunday, September 14th, 2014 Jim King expressed his disappointment when he learned that a partially torn ulnar collateral ligament would sideline him for 9-10 months. "I'll just spend a lot of time in the training room and hopefully speed up the healing process. Nobody likes to be out of the line-up," explained King. The reliever got hurt in today's game with the Nichols Gnats. He was hurt throwing a pitch. Team officials had no comment on his roster replacement. So far this season, King has compiled a 4-4 won-lost mark with 3 saves and a 3.29 ERA. In 54.2 innings he has fanned 62 and opponents are hitting him at a .235 clip. |
