Areizaga Gets Shutout Monday, July 7th, 2014 Speaking after the game, the Winfield manager said, "Rafael Areizaga had everything going for him. He changed speeds effectively, stayed down, had a lot of movement... he had it all... masterful." Areizaga held the Chippewa River Chiefs to 4 hits and fashioned a fine 4-0 shutout. He had no walks and 9 strikeouts in the game. "We couldn't get anything going. He certainly had our number," the Chippewa skipper told reporters. This year Areizaga has a 8-3 record and a 2.00 ERA. |
