Amano Garners AHL Batter of the Month Award Sunday, June 1st, 2014 Kiichi Amano is not used to being associated with Batter of the Month-caliber players, but today the Bel Air first baseman joined that select company when the August Herrman League announced the results of May's voting. Amano totaled 21 hits, 8 walks, 8 home runs, 25 RBIs and 16 runs scored last month to put together a .273 batting average and .352 on-base percentage. So far on the season Amano is hitting .282 with 10 home runs, 34 RBIs and 27 runs scored. He has 37 hits and played in 40 games. |
