Román, Brown Suspended for Fracas Saturday, May 3rd, 2014 Yesterday at Baylor Ballpark a spat between Héctor Román of the Sanford Stingrays and Fred Brown of the Whitewater Eagles ended with the both benches clearing as players rushed to protect their teammates. Today, the incident ended with the league suspending both Román and Brown for 3 games for their fight. For the season Román has hit .227 with no home runs and 2 RBIs. He has played in 24 games and scored 6 times. To this point in the season, Brown shows a 2-0 record, 5 starts, 30.2 innings, 25 strikeouts and a 2.05 ERA. |
