BOL Honors Hickey, #1 Batter in May Saturday, June 1st, 2013 Larry Hickey has a lot going for him. The Barrow third baseman just broke into the majors this year and now the Buck O'Neil League has just picked him as its top hitter for May. In 29 games last month, this outstanding rookie batted .289 with 8 home runs, 21 RBIs and 19 runs scored. This year Hickey is batting .335 with 14 home runs and 41 RBIs.
