Vallés Wins FFL Top Pitcher Honors Wednesday, August 1st, 2012 José Vallés hasn't been around the big leagues long enough to know that youngsters shouldn't be winning Ford Frick League Pitcher of the Month. But when you put up numbers like his, you're going to get some notice. In July the Murfreesboro starter earned a 5-0 mark in 5 starts. He threw 35 innings, struck out 28 and compiled a solid 2.31 ERA. This year Vallés has registered 6 wins and 7 losses in 21 starts with a 3.33 ERA while registering 126 strikeouts and 58 walks in 135 innings. |
