Hellcats Jefferson June's Top Hurler Sunday, July 1st, 2012 Bruce Jefferson hasn't been around the big leagues long enough to know that youngsters shouldn't be winning Alexander Cartwright League Pitcher of the Month. But when you put up numbers like his, you're going to get some notice. In June the Jacksonville starter earned a 5-0 mark in 7 starts. He threw 43 innings, struck out 44 and compiled a solid 1.47 ERA. In 14 starts this season Jefferson has rung up a 8-2 record and a 3.61 ERA. |
