June's Premier Batter Announced Sunday, July 1st, 2012 Artie Sullivan put together a good June to earn the Alexander Cartwright League Batter of the Month prize. A virtual unknown, he made the most of his chance to prove to Newark officials that he belongs on the big league roster. The Jail Birds left fielder posted a .465 batting average with 5 home runs, 20 RBIs and 16 runs scored. Sullivan is presently hitting at a .396 pace with 12 home runs, 54 RBIs and has scored 46 times. |
